Q: How much notice do I need to give to hire from you?
A: We are able to fit same day pending availability of roof boxes and the correct bars to fit your vehicle.
Q: How do you take payment?
A: We will send you an electronic invoice in advance of your fitting. You can pay this directly using your debit/credit card in advance or on the day of fitting. Payment can be made in cash or by credit/debit card. We do not, however, accept cheques.
Q: Do you take a deposit?
A: Yes, we take a fully refundable £100 deposit on the day of fitting. This is to ensure the roof box is returned or in case of damage to the roof box whilst in your possession. Your deposit is immediately returned to you on the day you return the roofbox.
Q: Can you fit roof boxes to my specific make and model of vehicle?
A: There is a fitting kit for almost 99% of vehicles on the road today. At the time of reservation we will ask for your specific make, model and year of vehicle, and ideally a quick picture of the roof and we can ensure we have the correct, high quality, Thule roof bars and foot pack specifically to fit your vehicle.
Q: Am I able to take the roofbox abroad?
A: Absolutely yes! A large majority of roof box hires are for travel on the continent – our large roof boxes essentially give the space of an entire other boot capacity allowing for the additional load for a holiday with family. Please be sure to book or update your booking with your ferry or eurostar and confirm the extra height needed to board the vessel.
Q: How long does it take to fit?
A: Fitting takes around 30 to 40 minutes. You can choose to wait in the vehicle, or pop inside for a cup of tea / coffee and biscuit whilst you wait – children are welcome too!
Q: How long does it take to remove when I return it?
A: Removal takes around 15 to 20 minutes.
Q: Would it better to buy a roof box or hire one?
A: Most people do not need to use a roof box regularly and so buying a box is likely a poor investment and hiring works our more cost effective as a top quality large roof box and bars are around £500 to £600. They are also big and bulky and get in the way to be stored in garages or back gardens.
Q: Where are you based?
A: We are family business based in a small village called Bulkington on the outskirts of Coventry and Nuneaton with easy access to the M6, M1, M69, Coventry, Rugby, Nuneaton, Kenilworth, Tamworth, Birmingham, West Midlands, Warwickshire, Leamington Spa, Warwick and surrounding areas.
Q: Do I need to provide ID when collecting the roof box?
A: A photocard ID showing your address, along with a recent utility bill is required to confirm your address matches your driving licence is required when collecting the roof box. This is to ensure the box is returned to us at the end of hire.
Q: How secure are your roofboxes?
A: All of our roofbox’s are high end brands that are secure and lockable with a key that you will be provided during the length of your hire.
Q: Are your roof boxes weather proof?
A: Yes! All of our roof boxes are weatherproof and will keep your belongings dry and secure.
